Sunny days

Here are a few pictures of the girls getting out in the sun to play. We had a few good days around here and loved it. We can't wait until it is warm again! Sami was even excited to get outside. Sami giggled everytime I took her outside the door in the backyard. There is a video of Sami and Lucy bouncing. Sami has decided she loves the bouncer and Lucy thinks it's funny to jump up and down too. The bouncer is the only place Sami really likes to be right now. I think she is a little bit frustrated at not being able to run around like Lucy.
Then there is a video of Lucy singing. She loves to sing. Today in church she opened the hymn book and then set it back in the hymn box thats on the back of the bench and pointed to it and said "Momma singing" and then she started waving her hands around like she was conducting and started to sing.

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!

So my one of my Favorite holidays is St. Patty's day because you get to wear green! Green has always been my favorite color. I am not nearly as dedicated to the holiday as I once was but maybe now with kids I can get into it again and not look completely silly!! Anyway, we played it pretty mild this time but next year when the girls can get into it a little bit more we will probably get crazy! The girls had to each have a green shirt on of course. We also made green rice krispie treats today. Then I decided to be really brave and let Lucy do some painting. I wanted to buy finger paints but we are trying to save money and what not so I bought a few acrylic paints instead cause they were cheaper. So we laid some paper down on the floor and let her go to town with the paint. Of course we only painted with green today but next time we will use other colors! Lucy loved it! She kept saying "wow, cool" (where she learned that phrase I have no idea). I got bored with the paper so I started to paint on her! She loved it, of course. I tried to get her to paint me but she only but a line or two on my arm before she was ready for me to paint her again. She said "Mama knee, Mama arm paint." Enjoy the pics and the movie clip!!

Never a dull moment

With a 23 months old in the house, there is never a dull moment! Lucy has started to sing about everything. You ask her to sing about a dog and she usually sings dog dog dog woof woof dog etc. She loves to dance around the house. We have to watch what we say these days cause if you say a word that she likes she will try and say it back. We are trying to teach her to say her prayers. She says thank you daddy, thank you momma, thank you sami and luce etc. then we have her say bless and then name some things well she was losing interest in saying the prayer the other night so Sam just started to finish the prayer. He said bless us that we don't have any bad dreams or nightmares. So Lucy's says bless nightmares. We saw a semi truck the other day and she started to yell Mac! She thought it was the semi truck from Cars. She yelled Mac for like 10 minutes. Sami is quite loud herself. She likes to make a lot of noise and loves to yell. She is really good at throwing tantrums and screaming at the top of lungs. She rolls everywhere now. She has been trying to get her knees up under her. She can push herself up pretty high with her arms and she can rock foward on her face and get her knees under her but she can't do both at the same time. So our days are never dull.

February

February seemed to just fly by and I never took the time to sit down and blog. Nana, Papa, Uncle Wi and Aunt Abbie came and visited us for 4 days and we loved it!! The girls loved having them here. We haven't been up to much else. It's been too cold to go outside. Lucy is hoping it warms up soon!! Here are some pictures. I will try and get more and maybe a couple of videos on in the near future!
